Working together to make a difference.
At RMHC SEQ, we are a passionate team committed to helping keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness or injury. We lead with compassion; we are deeply respectful; we act with integrity; and we are firmly committed to making a difference.
As we embark on our exciting new 2024-2027 strategy, we invite you to be a part of shaping the future of our organisation by contributing to innovative initiatives and projects and supporting families at a time when they need it most.
One of our foundations is family centered-care, and your role will contribute to improving the lives of families with ill and injured children. As a member of our global organisation, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive impact. Our inclusive workplace culture prioritises safety and wellbeing, offering flexibility, salary packaging options, and a suite of benefits to foster both your professional and personal development.
At RMHC SEQ, we’re more than a team; we’re a passionate community dedicated to keeping families together in the face of unexpected challenges caused by a child’s illness or injury.

The Ronald McDonald Learning Program gives teachers a chance to help ill or injured children to catch up on their missed education.
Teachers are paid on an hourly basis to give one on one tuition to students recovering from illness or injury at the student’s school, local community facility, or via Zoom. Tutors are allocated between 3 and 5 students at any one time, depending on the needs of the students and availability of students and tutors.
Tutors working with RMHC SEQ need to undergo an onboarding process to ensure the safety of our students.
Each student receives up to 40 weeks of tutoring, usually completed for an hour each week over four school terms. Tutoring takes place at the student’s school, at a local community facility, or via Zoom. No tuition can occur in the student or tutor’s home.

Our RAP Champion, Fiona Vink (Executive Manager of People, Culture and Safety), leads the implementation of the Reflect RAP alongside our dedicated RAP Working Group. This group, made up of a range of employees from different departments and levels within the organisation, meet monthly to report on progress and ensure the organisation remains on track and committed to reconciliation. RAP progress is measured and reported on monthly as part of our strategic plan and included in reporting to employees and the Board.
