Leave a Gift in your Will
Giving the best gift of all.
Giving the best gift of all.
When a child is diagnosed with an illness or injury, it can have a devastating effect on families. There is added stress for those that don’t live close to the medical care their child requires, forcing them to leave their homes, work, schools and community to travel for their child’s treatment.
With an open heart and a little bit of planning, you could leave a gift in your Will that will continue to support children and their families for many years into the future. And you’d be giving ill and injured children the best gift of all – their families!
Family is important. Once you have taken care of your family in your Will, including a gift in your Will is an easy and wonderful way to make a lasting and life-changing impact on improving the lives of ill and injured children and their families long after you’ve gone.
Consider, for a moment, leaving a gift in your Will. Even a gift equal to 1% of your Estate would have a considerable impact toward achieving our vision. It would help us support the next generation of families during one of the most challenging and stressful times in their lives.
When you leave a gift in your Will to RMHC SEQ, you can have peace of mind that you are supporting families for generations to come. Your gift will make a real difference.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the financial support of the entire community to help us support thousands of families each year. Without these generous contributions, we would be unable to keep our doors open to families in need 365 days a year.
We recognise that choosing to leave a gift in your Will is a personal and important decision. If you choose to support us this way, we would love the opportunity to thank you and acknowledge your gift, while respecting your right to privacy.
When you include a gift to Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland in your Will, the following suggested wording is recommended:
Irrespective of whether you make a specific monetary gift or a residuary gift, after you make the gift in the Will, you should also include the following declaration:
“In relation to that gift, I declare that a general charitable intent applies. A receipt signed by a person authorised by Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Limited shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my Executor(s) of this Will, and will be evidence that the Executor(s) has discharged his/her/their duties in accordance with this clause”
