volunteer with us

Volunteering is a great way to use your skills and meet new people, all while making a difference to families with ill or injured children. At Ronald McDonald House Charities SEQ, small acts make a big difference. For most of our roles, you don’t need any special skills, just a compassionate heart and the ability to commit to regular shifts.

Book in for one of our online information sessions and find out why volunteering with us is so rewarding.

Are you ready to lend a helping hand?

Book in for one of our online information sessions and find out why volunteering with us is so rewarding.

Once you’ve attended an information session, we’ll send you an email with a link so you can complete an application through MyImpact. We will then be in contact with you directly to organise a meet and greet onsite.

This includes mandatory background checks, online training, and signing a volunteer agreement.

Event roles: Once signing the volunteer agreement event volunteers have graduated!

Hospital roles: There are a few extra onboarding requirements, including proof of vaccination against preventable diseases at no cost to you.

Once you’ve completed all your compliance checks and onboarding, it’s time to start your training shifts. This is usually between 3 to 6 shifts that you undertake with another volunteer or your supervisor until you feel comfortable.

Once you have completed your training shifts, you’ll be ready to put your helping hands to good use as a fully-fledged volunteer! We’ll provide you with a welcome pack, a volunteer polo shirt and we’ll confirm your schedule with you.

what we need from you
