After a long and emotional day at the hospital, parents and carers rarely have the time, funds, or energy to cook a fresh and healthy dinner. We invite you to step into the kitchen for a night to prepare fresh, nutritious meals, or freshly-baked snacks and treats, for ill children and their families

The Meals from the Heart Program is an incredible opportunity for corporate partners and community fundraising groups to step into our kitchen and make a meaningful difference for families; to make our House a home.
You’ll get to help our families and see firsthand the difference Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland (RMHC SEQ) makes to lives of families with children who are ill or injured.
Meals from the Heart
Looking for a meaningful corporate volunteering opportunity in Brisbane or a rewarding team building activity that gives back? Meals from the Heart is a volunteer cooking program that invites your group into the heart of Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland to support families with ill or injured children.
When a child is in hospital, everyday moments like sitting down to a meal are no longer simple. Our Meals from the Heart program helps restore a sense of comfort by offering fresh, home-cooked food prepared by generous volunteer groups like yours.
This is more than just a way to cook for charity in Brisbane—it’s a hands-on experience where you’ll prepare meals or baked goods, connect as a team, and create meaningful change for up to 130 people in one afternoon.
Perfect for businesses, community groups, and social clubs, Meals from the Heart runs across both our South Brisbane and Herston locations and is suitable for groups of 6–10 people.

Parents don’t know when their children will need critical medical assistance, but we believe that they should know they can always access the care they need. With your help, we can support families throughout their journey, providing and resources and care that make a difference.
