Each year, Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland supports thousands of families through our core programs – Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms and the Learning Program.
These programs are only possible through the generous help of our supporters and partners. The social return on investment reports reveal the true extent of the incredible impact that your support has on the lives of so many. Looking at the total contribution from supporters and partners, for every $1 invested, RMHC SEQ is able to return $3.60 of social and economic value.
We aim to provide all children and young people with a positive and enriching environment, a place for families to rest and regroup while having access to services and education to reduce the impact of having a serious illness. We are committed to safeguarding children and young people in our programs and ensuring that they are safe. We aim to ensure that our Board Members, employees, volunteers, contractors and guests strive for the highest possible standards to protect children and young people from abuse, harm and neglect. RMHC Chapters and RMHC Australia along with employees, volunteers, contractors and members of the community are responsible for the care and protection of children and reporting information about child abuse.
Each and every individual should be treated with respect. RMHC Chapters and RMHC Australia are committed to providing a safe environment for all children and young people who are involved in, or accessing our services.
We encourage our employees, volunteers, contractors and members of the community to assist us in continuing to build and maintain an environments and programs that are safe for our children, free from abuse, harm and neglect. In doing so RMHC Chapters and RMHC Australia are continuously establishing new controls and procedures that prevent and deter potential behaviour so that we can provide a safe child environment at all times. Our Safeguarding Children and Young People (SCYP) policies and procedures are easy to understand and are communicated to children, young people and their families, our employees, volunteers and the general public. We have implemented measures to ensure we regularly review our policies, gain endorsement of changes and advise all employees, volunteers and contractors of these amendments.
