For families staying at Ronald McDonald House, Christmas is going to look a little different this year – away from loved ones and holiday traditions. That’s where you can step in to help make this holiday season extra special for families with ill or injured children staying with us over the festive season.
Spread some joy and help build a child’s courage by making a gift to our Christmas Appeal.
Large or small, your tax-deductible donation will be used to provide a safe and comfortable home for the families of those children who need to be far away from home this Christmas for medical treatment. Ronald McDonald Houses provide families with all they need to spend quality time together during the festive season.
Families with ill or injured children who stay with us are living away from home and their usual networks. This makes Christmas a difficult time for them, so toys that they can play with straight away are better than ones that must stay in the box (eg. outside toys, pool toys, skateboards, scooters, bikes, pogo sticks).
We greatly appreciate your generosity this festive season. We suggest you keep each gift to an average cost of between $5 – $30 this is to assist with all children receiving a gift of similar value this Christmas season.

Cut-off for Christmas present delivery is Thursday 19 December. Please ensure all donations are delivered by this date for delivery on Christmas morning.

You can drop off donations to Ronald McDonald House Charity at South Brisbane or Herston anytime between 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday. Please contact the house you are dropping your donation to prior.
Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. With your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
